Are eyelashes made of hair?

It grows in a layer on the edge of the upper and lower eyelids. Natural human eyelashes are like any other hair found on the human body. They are made up of approximately 10% water and 90% protein, including keratin and melanin, the substance that gives hair color. Eyelash extensions are sometimes made of mink fur, and yes, they likely come from animals incarcerated on the same miserable, dirty fur farms that supply the fashion industry.

When it comes to eyelash extensions, there are a lot of different types to choose from, so it shouldn't surprise us that there are also extensions made from human hair. Human hair eyelashes are no different from human hair extensions: the materials used and the methods used to make them are the same. Whether human hair is used to create hair extensions, eyelash extensions, or adhesive false eyelashes, the effect is the same: supernatural. There are eyelash extensions for every look and need; you just have to consider the differences between them.
